The Adams Rite 4530 is a standard duty mortise deadlatch designed for facilities requiring flexible traffic control, including hospitals, banks, and retail stores. Its reverse-key feature allows you to hold the bolt retracted for two-way traffic during business hours, then switch to exit-only mode by turning the key the opposite direction, solving access control challenges without hardware replacement.
The 4530 fits existing cutouts for older MS1850 deadlocks and discontinued 4250 deadlatches of the same backset, making retrofits straightforward. It accepts any standard mortise cylinder with MS cam and ships with a 4901-01 strike for flat jambs and mounting screws.
