Description

The Adams Rite 4900 Series Mortise Deadlatch provides flexible traffic control for institutional and commercial doors. Its reverse-key feature holds the bolt retracted, enabling two-way passage during open hours and exit-only security at other times. Ideal for schools, hospitals, and offices needing switchable access control without hardware replacement.

This mortise lock retrofits existing 4500/4700 preparations and interchanges with MS1850A or MS1850S deadbolts of matching backset and faceplate. It features a reversible brass latch bolt, stainless steel auxiliary pin to prevent forced entry, and corrosion-resistant steel case. Both flat and radius faceplates are included; flat plates adjust in-field for beveled edges. Standard 4902 strike fits flush-closing doors; specify 4901 for retrofit applications. Order cylinders, handles, paddles and pulls separately. As an authorized Adams Rite dealer, E.D.
