The LCN 4040XP is a heavy-duty institutional door closer engineered for high-traffic applications demanding durability and reliability. With 44% increased bearing load capacity, the strongest pinion ever at 3/4" journal diameter, and a V-shield seal with 20% longer life, this closer solves problems of wear and performance degradation in demanding environments like schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings.
The 4040XP fits interior doors to 5'0" and exterior doors to 4'0", mounts hinge-side or top-jamb on either right or left swinging doors, and meets ADA requirements.
