Description
The LCN 4040XP-EDA is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer engineered for institutional and high-traffic commercial environments. Its cast iron body, forged steel arm, and double heat-treated steel pinion deliver superior durability. With 44% increased bearing load capacity, a 3/4" journal pinion, and V-shield seals rated 20% longer life, this closer solves the challenge of maintaining reliable door operation in demanding applications.
Non-handed design mounts on hinge side, top jamb, or parallel arm configuration for right or left swinging doors. Adjustable for interior doors to 5'0" and exterior doors to 4'0", the 4040XP meets ADA requirements and is UL/cUL listed to ANSI A156.4 Grade One.
