Description
The LCN 4040XP-XLONG AL is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer built for high-traffic institutional and commercial environments. It features a 44% increased bearing load capacity, the strongest pinion at 3/4" journal diameter, and an upgraded V-shield seal with 20% longer life. Non-handed design works on either right or left swinging doors, solving durability challenges in demanding applications.
Compatible with interior doors to 5'0" and exterior doors to 4'0", this closer mounts on the hinge side, top jamb, or parallel arm bracket. It meets ADA requirements and is UL/cUL listed per ANSI A156.4 grade one. Available with optional powder coat finishes and SRI primer for corrosive conditions.
